Sister Outsider, Audre Lorde

A book of essays and speeches by the incomparable Lorde. A foundational book for me in understanding my place in the world.

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, Ocean Vuong

A stunning piece of fiction, with sentences so hauntingly beautiful they will linger with you. While this is fiction, it’s loosely based on Vuong’s own life growing up with his mother and grandmother, who immigrated to the US from Vietnam.
